Danville is definitely a great team, especially for a small school.
They did beat us by 5 at a tournament (without 2 of our starters), but we later beat them by 200+.
Both they and South Range could be serious competitors.

For seeding and qualification purposes, Grayson County is qualified for HSNCT as of today. Does any one know why exactly state is moving to Lexington?
I do not have a problem with it, but it seems strange to change to a less central location.

Also, I have heard that KAAC is going to use separate tossup and bonus packets next year.
Has anyone else heard anything about this change?

Yes, they used a card system with 32 teams. You could seed for the original card placement. After lunch the teams were seeded into an upper bracket and lower bracket, each with four pools of four. How realistic is it that teams are going to be practicing the entire Saturday of state?
I don't see how playing quizbowl is less productive than eating on Fourth Street (not to say you can't do both.)

Yeah, the list wasn't really meant to be given serious attention to.
It was more so we could know a rough number of people to expect and who to contact that is not on the forums.

That would actually make a lot of sense.
We could just have a fine arts test, and then test with either RMP or Misc. things that didn't fit anywhere else.
Most of the people who are strong in this test are arts quizbowl players anyway.

It seemed pretty clear to me that we were not the worst runner-up, but we still drew Johnson Central.

The brackets do hold for the next day.
Sadly, there is no seeding by points, if it is like it was last year.
The teams are randomly placed in the bracket with pool 1st places playing runner-ups.
Can someone mention this to KAAC?

I think that we may see some surprises at state this year.
If we get a good draw and play well, we may do better than people are expecting.
The pool with Edmonson, Flemming, and Edmonson will be interesting to see as far as second place.

I am expecting them to be pretty good as they always are.
I'm not sure if they will be able to beat Danville, but they will give them a good game.
If I had to guess, I would say that KCD will be the weakest pool runner-up in the bottom bracket.

The Books Who Wrote What When and Who Won What When are good for less experienced lit players.
Frank N. Magill has published several good works for studying about different commonly asked literary works.
Also, the Annotated Mona Lisa is not bad for visual art.
