We will likely be attending this tournament with 1 or 2 teams. (Can't guarantee a commitment yet though.)
The week before this is Kentucky Marching Band Regionals, so we may be slightly shorthanded if our band makes it to state...

I would suggest not moving this to October 30, obviously, since Vanderbilt is having their tournament then. The next Saturday is a tournament in Hart County that really isn't any good, but a good amount teams (not saying Grayson) will because it is virtually the only time Johnson Central travels wes...

The move to the 30 greatly increases the likelihood that we will attend with our actual team.
However, do what is best for teams (and your team) in general.

I am quite sue we will be at this tournament, albeit weaker than usual.
There are several people on our team that will not be able to make it (including myself), but we will still likely send a couple of teams.

I hadn't even thought about suggesting the use of an A-set.

I don't think any tournaments in Kentucky are using them, except maybe Beta...
It would be nice for the local teams anyway. (Not trying to be rude.)

I am going to go ahead a set a tentative date of April 23 for this tournament. We are hoping to be a mirror of St. Anselm's set, and will guarantee every team 11 rounds. We are hoping to attract teams from all of Kentucky as well as Northern Tennessee. It would be nice to get some Ohio/Indian teams,...

KAAC on Feb. 19 is all, I think. 26 would be a nice day for it. Actually I don't think there were in real February tournaments in Kentucky at all last year. I say go for it.

I think I can get our PSAT people to cooperate, but I won't find out until later on in August.
Also, whether we bring 2-3 teams will depend upon interested and conflicts on that date.
If we come, we can bring 2 buzzers.

Who can I contact about this Tipp tournament? Vandy will also likely hold a tournament in November... December also has Kentucky State BETA and the PAA tournament, which would cut Grayson, MadNoHo and all of the Owensboro teams. January... Gov. Haha, that's what I assumed.
I wasn't trying to be antagonistic, just joking a little.

As far as date, I would like to see mid November.
October is already loaded and a fourth tournament may be better off in another, less congested month.

That's actually really true for us too.
We're still not as good as you guys or Dunbar, but we are a whole different team on a different distribution.
I guess this makes sense since RMP and Arts are two of our strongest areas...

I like this trend of more quizbowl tournaments happening within the state. Assuming Manual hosts their tournament in October, that's 4 (Dunbar, Danville, and WKU) good tournaments in one month. I agree! Hopefully there will be this many tournaments in the spring as well. Now we need to get more tea...

Is this going to be Oct. 30 now that Danville and WKU are set?
Personally, I would like to see it in September, though.
It would be easier on teams to go to one in September and three in October, rather than four in October alone.

Tuesday is right; our school did it on Saturday last year, so I wasn't sure.

Our whole team isn't made up of them, but we have 10.
We will probably still field one team if the testing is a conflict.

Grayson is really considering using this set for gcat.
It could be a nice mirror for the Kentucky/Nashville area.

Do you know how many rounds this will include?
We were thinking of a 11-12 round tournament, but I asume the set will include about that many.

We will probably not use NAQT for this tournament; nothing against them, but distribution, difficulty and other factors have led to this decision.
We will probably mirror another tournament, considering it is both cheaper and higher quality (hopefully).

September 2 might be a bit early; I don't know how it works in Kentucky but we start much earlier than most Ohio schools and we haven't even had tryouts by then.
