The HS part of the WSHS tournament went off fine as well although the field was rather depleted. There's still an unfortunate tendency for teams to "shut down" after they lose on the Knowledge Bowl TV tournament and I wish there were more events that could induce teams to keep playing in the spring....

The YA literature in the IS-A set we heard today (IS-131A) did not go over well at the tournament I was at. Other coaches complained about it and I didn't see much of it converted by the players. Definitely recommend it gets taken out or pushed into the trash distribution.

Use the highest points not as an end in themselves, but rather as a gateway to a country's geography. The highest point in a country is often in a mountain range, and often in the highest mountain range in that country.
