Re: 2011 NAQT HSNCT: May 27-29, Atlanta

Will there be a liveblog of HSNCT again this year? We would like to have one; however, the person who operated the LiveBlog the last two years will not be attending the HSNCT this year. I am in the process of getting an email out to staff in the next week with several pieces of information, but one...

OK, but the reason I'm confused is that Kealing A was in the loser's bracket while Barrington A was in the winner's bracket when Kealing A beat Barrington A the first time. Wouldn't a purer double elimination bracket not have had that game even happen, instead giving undefeated Barrington A a bye? ...

I can confirm that the games listed as 27 TUH are games that went to OT. Also, I have a question for NAQT about tiebreaker tossups- do they count towards a team's bonus conversion? I believe all the teams listed are already Division I. False. LSU A and LSU B are Division II. In fact, if it wasn't done so already, Texas A&M and Rice's stats need to be adjusted for playing on the Division II set. EDIT: To point out that I missed Jeff's message ahead of me stating the same thing.

Perhaps future HSNCTs should package--with every packet--two moderator evaluation cards. That would be easier than, at the end of the day, trying to recall specific moderator experiences.
