To be honest, I was expecting this discussion to be analogous to one in which UTC Sword Bowl questions were read at ACF Nationals, at least in terms of the FA and RPM. As that editor who wasn't done at 5AM, I'd like to thank Matt Lafer et al for helping out. Since I had never edited any packets befo...

On Sunday morning, seven teams gathered at the FSU campus. We played a round robin, followed by a split into an upper and lower bracket. UF A emerged as the clear first place, followed by UF B and Valencia A. On a side note, Chris Borglum defeated UF A in an exhibition match, much to the dismay of A...

As the FA and RPM editor, I did my best to make most tossups 6 lines long. There are some exceptions to this: the ones that were 7-8 lines were perhaps slightly more interested than average, but I really apologize for those 5 line questions I had to write the morning of the tournament to fill some g...

The NAQT moderators are a pretty tight group .... mostly people who have done it before. I would say just from being there the past two years, 85-95% of them are really top notch mods. About the best you can shoot for is scorekeeping and maybe moderating on Sunday during the consolation rounds. In ...

Here's the reply, for your amusement. William: Thanks for the thoughtful email. And here's a quick quiz for you. I also threw out the fact that buzzing half-way through a question is not that remarkable. So do you think I get a reply ...

Unless my understanding is incorrect, there are questions repeated in their entirety between DIV II and the high school IS series. I believe you are incorrect (although I'm not 100%). I played Div2 at SCT and ICT, and have accumulated many of the IS sets from this year via helping out at high schoo...

I'm a little puzzled by the responses on here. Of course there is going to be *some* repeats when it comes to tossup answers. The ICT and HSNCT packet sets have something like 500 tossups each. The tossups are not exactly the same. They share *some* common clues, but it's not something to be outrage...

I would also like to see some of the packets from previous years before deciding to travel 6 hours (one way) and pay for registration (which in previous years, has been very, very expensive, IMO). Regarding the Berry Tournament, just because it's been around a while, doesn't mean it's great. Try com...

It probably should, though I'm not ready to make anything official at the moment. However, I would like to hear how many teams might come to the tournament if it's on Saturday to make sure it's feasible to have it. (Just reply to this topic if you have an opinion.) Great. I would love to go. I just have to find myself some teammates. So, if you're interested in playing with me, let me know.
