I played IS-86, and the only major complaint I have are that I felt like there were too many interdisciplinary questions. I can't think of any specifically, but I'll try to find some if I get a copy of the set. Minor thing: there was one packet with 2 trash questions within the first three questions...

Why do teams take so long to post up statistics? When I did ACE stats, I had them up by the end of the day. Am I missing a part of the process or something?

What happened was they were 8-1, not 7-2. We had misrecorded on our paper a loss for both you and Arcadia in the match between your teams, while they had a win. Err...apparently not? If you decide stats that way, remember that La Jolla beat Arcadia, Arcadia beat SaMo and Torrey, Torrey beat Arcadia...

Mission San Jose is returning most, if not all, of their A and B teams, both of which qualified for HSNCT and made playoffs (i think, dont quote me on this)

Because they can still get better at that topic.

Although i think you shouldnt go for natural strengths as much as interest. A person will study harder and retain more on a subject he or she is interested in, rather than something theyre naturally good at.

actually, nvm. SoCal mirror seems a bit unfeasible because i think teams are gonna travel up to berkeley from socal already. Also, if caltech hosts, thats one less team that plays the tournament.

However, SouthernCal has the same problem as Texas (except everyone loves NAQT, not :chip: , which isnt terrible, but seeing what could have been good...
