Sure. $55 for each additional team.

We will also likely have JV division if there are enough interested JV teams. At the very least, we will give a trophy to the top JV team(s).

9/19/15 - Unnamed House-Written Tournament at West Point

West Point High School in Cullman, AL will be hosting our first-annual house-written tournament on Sept. 19. We will be shooting for a difficulty level somewhere between NAQT A-series and Regular IS-sets. We will also still be hosting a tournament on NAQT questions in December. Registration for this...

It seems like every time we host a tournament, regardless of the date, there are several Alabama teams that can't make it because of "mandatory Saturday AP Study Sessions" on that Saturday. Also, we will be using the SCT-Div II set from NAQT. So, the questions will be slightly more difficult than IS-series and should serve as a good practice for HSNCT for those of us attending.

Here in Alabama, we still have worksheets. I'm hoping they become a ghost some day soon. As for lightning rounds, we got rid of those sometime in the mid 1990s. I always liked the old NSC format. The old NSC format was interesting. I agree with most of this.

I would, though, like to add that tournament directors need to announce before Round 1 exactly what the playoff format will be and they need to STICK TO IT. Let teams know how many teams from each pool will advance, what the tie-breaker procedures will be, etc.
