This devolved quickly into exactly what I DIDN'T want.... NAQT writes all of our State tournament series: Our district, regional, and state tournaments are all run on NAQT sets. Generally, other circuits avoid this issue by running tournaments on non-NAQT questions. Yes. And that's what teams here have done. However, we tend to prefer NAQT questions. Hoover B went 7-0 in our power-matched tournament to take 1st place. West Point A went 6-1 for 2nd. Hoover A was 5-2 for 3rd. Good Hope took 4th at 4-3.

All I can say is that more time and editing will go in this year. I hope some sites will give us another shot. After reading this thread, they probably won't. :sad: I'll concede a bit on the length of bonus parts. But, I still think 2-3 line bonus parts are overkill. Thanks again for the feedback.

As for difficulty: The original SMART was SUPPOSED to be between A-series and Regular IS level. However, we clearly failed in that regard, as the winning teams at most sites averaged around 350-400 ppg and had a PPB of around 20. All stats from District sites are up on naqt.com EXCEPT for the Huntsville site. For some reason, it says that stats from the Huntsville District are unavailable. That's really frustrating. The average points per game for Buckhorn, James Clemens, and Sparkman are the main stats that I want to see.

How did everyone do at District? At our site, we went 5-0 and averaged exactly 499 ppg. Arab was also undefeated. I believe their ppg will be in the mid-to-high 300s. Good Hope and West Limestone were the other teams that made it to regionals. I'm not sure about their averages, but I'm thinking high...
