However, the FKT has bonuses assigned to tossups, and this is not ideal as it makes the new players believe this always occurs. I'm not seeing how this is not ideal, unless the target audience isn't going to be playing a lot of tossup/bonus quiz bowl. Even if they aren't going to be exposed to TU/B...

This isn't set in stone yet, but MIT Fall will likely be using the JAMES set written last year by the Thomas Jefferson and LASA teams.

We had some hiccups involving a certain other MIT activity taking over the rooms we had reserved and some tiebreakers that took a while, but the playoffs are now well underway.

Since MIT gets an automatic bid to ICT for hosting, is there any way you guys would consider dropping your house team in Div I? I only brought this up because having 9 teams is kinda messy and a schedule for 8 teams would be much cleaner. With 9 teams there has to be double byes and teams get 11-12...

MITBAT has been awarded platinum certification by the Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence, which means that the top 25% of the teams at our tournament (so 6 teams if we hit our field cap) will qualify for PACE's National Scholastics Championship! There's still plenty of room in the field...
