Re: MUT Mirror 3/19/11 @ Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ)

With only two teams totaling 8 players in attendance, it was decided to split up into teams of two to enable a four-team triple round robin. The joint ASU/UCLA team of "The Fighting Amish" cleared the field with an 8-1 record, despite having stats nearly identical to a team that finished 4-5. Stats ...

So, just a bit of idle speculation... as far as features unique to the Southeast, is it at all possible that the outstanding strength of the region's American Football circuit might have anything to do with the perceived sub-par strength of the region's Quizbowl circuit? some team is going to get pushed out of DII whether they're ready or not. Make that 1 ASU team and 2-3 free agents, unless any of the existing free agents would like to join shorthanded ASU B. (They'll be open to changing their team name to something you and they mutually agree upon.) At this difficult of a tournament, playing a shorthanded team doesn't make a lot of sense.
