From what I saw of DCC and Solon last year (I played both teams at Nationals last year), they were somewhat young teams led by veritable superstars. If that turns in to a rivalry the likes of TJ-Gov or RM-ER, power to them, but I doubt it's going to last past Noah's graduation. [/quote]

that "massive convergeance" was purely by chance last year. From what I understand, Gov, TJ, and Dorman all decided to attend and several other teams followed suit. Because it was such a fantastic draw last season, we're able to play up the "pre-nationals" vibe for it.

They usually use number of questions correct as a tiebreaker between equal point scores. If there's a tie there as well, then you probably got shafted alphabetically.

at last summer's PACE we (TJ B) beat New Trier in the playoffs, in what I remember to be a close game. They were pretty good, but they were the only Illinois team I have ever seen in my four trips to national tournaments.
