Re: Missouri Middle Schools are being banned from Nationals

Do they institute the same rules for the geography bee? spelling bee? history bee? Seriously, though, this is just ludicrous. Are there any coaches out there who like this policy? I would think a petition of coaches would probably be the best way to go about changing this. Also, who overseas the act...

Re: Online Skype Practice League - Round 2

We'll try and look for something that's not on the TP database. Bear in mind though, that repetition is often a good thing in terms of reinforcement, and that this is self-consciously a Practice League - i.e. it's more important you use it to improve your game, not compete for the sake of winning.

Ketan, you're much more likely to win said prize if you actually show up to all your games. But sure, top scorer in an individual match over the course of the five weeks gets a free Bee entry, along with the winning team. Hint, hint, the Maryland History Bee is in Baltimore on Nov. 19

No, this isn't strange or odd, it makes sense, especially if not all teams are playing the finals packet. It's at some level a matter of personal preference, but I like the idea of having finals packets have harder answer lines. NSC does this; HSNCT does not from my understanding.
