Re: NHB Regional @ St. Anselm's Abbey School - 4/4/2011

All those dates are Fridays. I'd really prefer not to do 3/25 if at all possible, as I need to be in Boston by 7am the next day (and I'll be driving). So that would mean that we'd probably have to finish up by about 8pm or so. If we did one of the other two dates, we could play all 8 Bowl rounds if ...

Ok, so that would leave us with 3/25, 4/1, or 4/8. Of those, 4/1 works far and away best for me, but how about for interested schools? Please chime in, as we need to get this settled within the next week or so.

Re: Natl. History Bee & Bowl - Update & Tournament Announcements

Supposedly there are something like 600 high schools in OH that have some form of quiz bowl (though I use the term very loosely). All, as far as I know, have history teachers which adds in another couple hundred. We had 7 schools turn out for our OH tournament, albeit many of the most active ones, b...

Sure, if that's what students and coaches would be more interested in. I do think, though, that a plaque that doesn't cost much (say, $10-$15) is something that top students would be interested in and even though NASAT is close this year, it would be significantly more expensive than the amounts I s...

3. NAQT isn’t as pyramidal as you might think itself – after all, in any bonus question (which aren’t related to the tossups, unlike the 2nd quarter of the History Bowl) there are twice as many points as in the tossup (assuming it’s powered).
