We're fine on rooms, but I am only concerned about volunteers (particularly given how last year went) as I haven't fleshed out a concrete list of how many we'll have. I'll try to do this soon and let you all know what's up.

Brief results: Maryland A won the first game of an advantaged final over VCU to win the tournament at 12-0. VCU went 10-2 with their only losses to Maryland. I'll get Sid to post prelim stats ASAP as those are done, but playoff stats may not be posted until tomorrow. Hope everyone had fun!

I sent out updates to all teams and have edited the first post to include most of those updates. We're presently at 15-16 teams, so we're going to go with 16 by fielding a second house team and drop down to 14 if anyone else drops out. Yeah, my own research into the Arabic is supported by Charles's statements. Short story: it should actually be read "Guide of the Perplexed", and things like "Guide Belonging to the Perplexed", etc. seem like they should be acceptable.

To briefly address above questions, I think we'll go ahead and proceed with this date, and Shawn assured me HSAPQ #10 would be available for this tournament and is not in conflict with any other tournaments in the area at the moment.

To address Chris's original post, I'd prefer 11/14 because playing 4 weekends in a row can be tiring. Pairing with TRASH Regionals would likely draw in a larger Penn crowd and avoid the brainmelt of chomping through 4 academic sets in two days, but I could go either way.

For the record, I don't mind attaching this to some sort of Penn Bowl weekend. There seems to be interest in our club to do a second (hopefully improved) incarnation of Penn Bowl Trash, so TIDUS could be tacked onto Saturday night or Sunday.
