Re: MUT mirror at uWaterloo (March 22nd)

A bit delayed, but thanks to all the teams that attended, especially those that traveled a fair distance to play this tournament. We hope you had an enjoyable time.

Major thanks to Ming-Ho Yee, who truly ran one of the finest tournaments I've ever attended. An incredibly well-done job!

Re: Errata

The biggest mess-up (and the only real editor "mistake" mentioned in this post) was that the tossup on George Clooney repeated (it was TU 10 in Packet 6 and TU 11 in Packet 7). This was "fixed" by moderators reading the tiebreaker TU instead. While playing the tournament, there was an awkward moment...

Just the one team from Waterloo, actually. The team will be Arjun Sondhi, Kira Vimal and myself. We've received permission from the TD and head-editor to play as an "open" team.

We insist on being referred to as "Watashi wa oyogimasu~", or "Watashi" for short.

Something not unlike this actually happened at one point in a game against Brown when I was there, although without the betting. The bonus in question was a bonus on The Good Wife that had a major Season 5 spoiler in the text of the hard part, but that didn't make the question any easier with its inclusion. In other words, you could have omitted the second sentence of this bonus part, and it would have been exactly the same ...
