I think this thread would be a good reference: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13710. It was started by Eric Xu, and I hope you know who he is. Bringing Everyone to Nationals

My team has qualified one team for NSC, and we may end up qualifying another one. Currently we are discussing what to do if we do qualify a 2nd team (we have a fairly good chance-we haven't brought a full roster to any tournament yet) and the overwhelming opinion is that all 14-15 players on the squ...

From what I know, MA hasn't had any middle school events, but my former team (Middlesex Middle School, Darien, CT) holds a tournament every year called the Charter Oak Scholastic Open. It is on January 26. We've gotten teams from as far as Boston. You could also apply for an MSNCT wild card if you c...

I would say that people who don't show up to practice generally aren't really going to be committed to quiz bowl, so most people who do that probably won't be very useful. You could try getting some people more interested in quiz bowl (not sure how), and that would make them sign up for tournaments ...

It's certainly viable. 10 teams seems like a reasonable field for this if you try hard.
