Re: FAcT X at Yale (New Haven, CT, 9/27/14)

Many of the stats seem to be shifted to the right one column for some reason (like it says 1.00 under 15 whereas it should go under GP)

Also the combined team detail only feature the finals

Re: New England 2014-2015

Once again, the finals at FaCT, like MITFAT, featured an extremely contested game between Lexington A and AMSA A, with Lex coming out on top by a slight margin (something like 25). Darien placed 3rd, beating out Lexington B, which subsequently placed 4th. Lexington A- Highest PPB and PPG, and 2nd in...

PEA had a very strong showing on MITFAT, so i expect that they can repeat their success in later tournaments. Hopefully a few non-Exeter teams from New Hampshire can attend some MA tournaments as well.

I'd like to point that in 9 cases out of 10 the person who can do the problem faster is the one who knows more. What i mean by this is that someone who has more experience with problem solving will have a stronger grasp on the technique, thus allowing them to solve the problem quicker. Players who a...

I am in pharmacy school. Pharmacists do a lot of math. Doing a lot of math quickly is what calculators do. Understanding how the math works and why things are calculated the way they are is the pharmacist's job. Comp math tossups aren't simply a calculation either. Having a calculator won't help fi...

Lexington could have definitely made the playoffs at HSNCT this year; we were quite unlucky with our matchups, facing 6/10 playoff teams during the prelims, as well as losing a 95 point halftime lead during the final game before elimination. Additionally, one could also make the argument that Lexingt...
