I have a feeling that if we do make it, we will be driving to save money. I don´t know. I used Travelocity and found that the cheapest and quickest route to MN is flying from Kirksville to Minneapolis for $296 bucks per person. There are no direct flights there even if we left from Kansas City and ...

We at Truman State have had our funding pretty much cut so Chicago would be great since we would be paying out of our own pockets.

Now getting to ICT will be the issue. I'm sure Carleton will be coming to our sectional in Iowa so it will be very tough :-( .

I've been on here for a long time but I never really post. Are Liberty and NKC in the same district? I don't remember for sure. Anyway, I might try to post more. I was just reading all the college discussion stuff last night but didn't really want to post because they are all intense in their thinki...

For clarification, the tournament is on February 17th and I just made a mistake in the thread title. I don't know how to change it :-(.

Northeast Missouri Academic Challenge (Feb. 17 @ Truman St.)

February 17, 2007 The Academic Competition Organization at Truman State University will host its second annual Northeast Missouri Academic Challenge. ACO members will write the questions and we will use MSHSAA State Format. We will divide participating schools into two divisions based on class numbe...

Yeah, the WashU tournament was fun for me. I would recommend that one if you can travel to it.

Yeah, those questions were way too loaded with math and science. I usually do much better on the social studies and lit. but there wasn't as much yesterday and that cost us. Also, we suffered because I was the only one scoring in the afternoon for us and that doesn't lead to a well balanced attack a...

Thanks Noah. I will see what they have to say and maybe even sit in on a practice if they happen to have one when I go up there next week.

At state last year, Savannah beat us 620-110 in a game of 50 tossup, 20 with bonus (not sure what format that is but it is what Missouri uses for state).

Not really something to brag about but it is a pretty big beatdown.... especially since our highest score is around 550 :-S.

OK. I have my choices narrowed down to three and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the following schools: 1) Truman State University- would get paid to go there so it is definitely at the top of the list.... I'm not sure how their team is and that could be a factor. 2) Notre Dame Universit...

The Missouri team sounds good. I am bias but I would say that it will do quite well. I played with all of the named players at ACE and they are all very good. David is a beast on social studies, Tom owns science, Jimmy is awesome at literature and everything else, and Micheal is really good too.

Notre Dame Cape Girardeau: 45-3 (not sure on the win total exactly but I know it's three losses ..... take into account that we play a lot of really easy teams) David, I looked at the MSHSAA book thingy and it looks like we get to play you in the morning at state assuming we both make it ..... JOY :...
