What was the conversion for the Mir question? Some math bonuses seemed like 0 or 30 bonuses. The most egregious example was the one that asked for the second derivatives of three expressions. My five hour train ride from Montreal to Toronto has turned what could be up to a ten to eleven hour ride. This sounds like a great idea for the second summer open. The 60 USD mirror fee, while probably the correct amount in general in terms of writer compensation (which goes for regular academic stuff too), is much higher than expected for a subject tournament.

I think this shortening should especially happen to regs+/nats- stuff as a friendly way for both new players and new staffers to be introduced to hard stuff, and also to get a good number of games in without spending too much extra time (which is inevitable because of worse players and readers).

Don't rely on public transit to get you back from lunch!
Start time for Sunday is going to be 9 AM as well, in order to adjust for the lunch break and to get all the out of towners on the road by 3pm. Expecting a double round robin from 9-12 and, lunch until 1:30, and then semis and finals.

You should vote for Rein Otsason in your science player poll. A big part of Toronto's success is his specialty in the physical sciences. His weakness at bio harms him moderately, but it wouldn't be a far stretch to call him a reasonable candidate for top 5 physics players.

I'm pretty sure this format was used for ACF Nationals 2015 and CO 2016.
