To explain, Cobra Kings is an alias for a NC team that did not get sanction to play as its official name. Hopefully future installments of that group will be associated with their true name.

It's usually just my fault or call when it comes to the initials and consistency of the first initials or names. I think when the answer keys are created, some of the formatting gets skewed from the different authors, and often I'll miss.

Again, I do biography as my theme event, but it's not on buzzers so go with it as you will. Geography can be challenging for an entire tournament set though if National Geographic can do it. I would certainly do more than just name locations and places. Geography can delve more into anthropology, so...

I'll note that KAAC did seek input regarding pyramidality and have been trying to strongly push its question writers towards more pyramidal questions even at the middle school level. There is still much work to do, but there is more willingness to make some changes compared to... Missouri.

Find out what support you get with your student government and student activities groups. Especially for campuses with a large proportion of commuter students, you need to gauge how your program will help create the "student community" they seek to build. Find out when club fairs are held....

I do a themed high school tournament, which is High School Celebrity Shoot. It is not meant to be pure quizbowl, and it doesn't even use buzzers! I also want to voice in to say, the presence of a pattern does not imply intent for that pattern. However, it should make us more sensitive to these issues. Nothing more than that.
