Re: Super Smart Brothers Brawl (duPont Manual Tourney Interest)

Too bad we can't make this a "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" -- but I like February regardless. What is the KY schedule? 5th is Middle School Regionals. ACT on the 12th, but I would guess it's the ACT least likely to cause a lot of trouble (seniors will already have it done, most juniors w...

Danville Fall Tournament (10/16/2010)

Danville High School is announcing its 2nd annual (Not Quite) Season Opener for October 16th, 2010. We are aware that this is a PSAT date, but it was the date that worked best for us. Provided there is sufficient interest, we will have separate Varsity and JV divisions. Our intention is to use the f...

Similarly, I think this NSC did an excellent job of staying accessible to the bottom 50% of the field, though I suppose stats will bear this out ( and I guess it'll be hard to compare due to format changes). In the five games I read in the 4th playoff flight, at least 16 tossups were converted in e...

We could have still had a team. All that would have had to happen was a group of players send a bid to HSAPQ. They didn't even have to be the best team, just be the best group to submit a bid. Obviously though, Kentucky wants to field our best team. So next year when there is a tryout, the quizbowl...

I've played Danville twice, beating them both times, but the second time was on the last bonus part. They'll make a nice run, as they are probably vastly improved since December.
