My experience is that this has more to do with philosophy and less to do with actual size. When I meet coaches from western and southwestern Illinois (especially), there seems to be this group philosophy that their teams are as good as they are ..... and that you're nuts to do much to improve them....

I think the real lesson here is that the ad just wasn't that funny, whereas Dave Chappell is. Calling people "nappy-headed hos" isn't funny, whereas a blind black klansman is.
