Re: Improving my Team

In another thread, you said that you were interested in qualifying for some national tournament. I would advise you to stop playing on "open" teams, as the rules for any of the national tournaments state that you have to qualify with a team composed of students from entirely one school. I ...

Well thanks for the compliment. I had asked to be put into JV but it seems like stones became the third bracket, as St. Charles entered it in the afternoon. I guess I need to find another tournament that might qualify me. Which nationals are you trying to qualify for? If you want to go to the PACE ...

I assume that you were one of the two people from Village Academy who showed up to Ohio State's From Here to Eternity tournament. I hope that you are not planning to run this as a timed tournament, because if you are, I'd probably not get to an acceptable number of questions in time. So, is this tournament happening on 3/7 like the NAQT website says, or on 3/21?

In addition, Northmont seems to be a team on the rise as the players are getting more experience throughout the year. They only lost to a Shady Side team with Charlie Rosenthal on it by 15. While the Ohio board has been going haywire, I believe there was a post that said that this tournament is short on moderators. Apparently, there is a field of 36 on Saturday, 32 on Sunday and only 6 moderators signed up, if the message was accurate.

Well, the Ohio board has been acting strange the past few days. At Ohio State's From Here to Eternity tournament, the JV teams played on the same questions as the varsity. Also, the teams in that division were kept with the numbering from the varsity; i.e. if a team had two varsity and two JV teams, the varsity would be 1 and 2, and the JV would be 3 and 4.
