Just wanted to gauge interest in a possible NAQT tournament (that would also be a qualifier) in early May at Brindlee Mountain. The format would be NAQT untimed 20 TU/Bonuses. ASCA added a "small schools" state championship this year, which we won easily. It was for 1A-3A schools. We are a 1A school (Alabama goes 1A-6A). I'm actually against having six state champs based on classification, as it would make is really easy for us... We want a shot at the 6A school...

That kinda surprises me... Russellville and Cullman were the best teams I saw this year... Whitesburg was also very strong, but I would've put my money on Russellville.

Yes, Slade... In a perfect world, that would be the top 16. However, the odds of all of those teams being distributed in pools that will allow that is slim. Someone (probably us) is going to get screwed over...

We used it at the Brindlee Mountain tournament this year in Alabama. It was also used at the Athens State University Tournament here in AL back in December.

It's a great program. It can be set to just about any format, and it's VERY easy to use. I really don't know why it hasn't caught on...

Well, this time the questions were mainly pyramidal, and completely answerable to just about any decent team by the end.

They are also hosting another invitational at Snead on April 1 that is using an NAQT IS set.

Actually, unless things change, the B'ham schools (Indian Springs and ASFA) will go to the regional in Gadsden. However, I do think it is safe to assume that one or more of the top 8 schools will NOT make it to state (or even regionals) due entirely to being in a district with other top tier Alabama...
