We attended UTC Fall this year and were planning on going to the Spring one, but scheduling conflicts intervened.

The rule is "whatever's on the paper is right, even if it's wrong". So if even if you have everything to prove the answer is wrong, the protest won't go through. The question quality is also not very good, but it has improved somewhat over the years.
