The other thing is that there are things considered circumflexes in other languages that use other symbols. For example, in romanized Uzbek, they use the apostrophe symbol.

I find it strange that with lots of teams and so few games, that Defiance and Beachwood are playing each other in the prelims, assuming that these are the Defiance and Beachwood from Ohio.

There are a few Kentucky teams that are just outside of the top tier, but could still finish in the top 15 or 20. I'm thinking of Dunbar, Dupont Manual, and Simon Kenton. Also, there's a team just across the Ohio River (Walnut Hills) that is pretty good, too, and seems to do a lot better than expect...

I realize this doesn't matter since they already qualified for NSC four other times, but didn't Fisher Catholic also qualify by finishing in the top six at the Ohio NAQT state championship?

In Ohio, where there is no uniform policy, there are some teams that have uniforms anyway, and many who don't. Those who don't have uniforms dress appropriately, but very few dress up unless the tournament mandates it. I think that people might get slightly more dressier when it's the state tourname...

I've found that while having carbohydrates before a tournament can be beneficial, it actually really hurts the first round or two after lunch. I agree with what Mike said about the snacking on fruit. It really keeps you awake.
