Re: Kentucky 09-10
In my brief time here, Faiyad, I have learned that there are two surefire ways to be disliked and to provoke a general s***storm in your direction. One of them, sir, is vetting computational math. Let me tl;dr my argument. Math computation is inherently nonpyramidal; it can't be given appropriate po...

Re: Interest in second video games tournament?
I appreciate the offer, but after re-evaluating my time and being assigned a task at work that gives me lots of downtime, I don't see any major setbacks in getting this tournament written by, say, October. If I find myself in a bind for whatever reason, I'll let you know. Also, I didn't mention it ...

Okay, let me interject as unbiased an opinion as I can. Auburn: Zahed is good, and although outside of the NAQT/Fenton Singles I've never really seen Lloyd get many questions, I assume that he's just as dynamite. I also know there are some younger players, like Abid, who can hold their own as well. ...

This one does not achieve pyramidality. For instance, Erdos-Mordell is a famous inequality that people who participate in math contests see come up often. To all- It seems to me that some of the arguments against math computation do not involve intrinsic error, but rather just poor question writing. Perhaps it is more germane to address those that do involve intrinsic error, then. I meant to say, the concept of computational math isn't necessarily ba...

Would the new SIHSA have computational math? Because, if so, I think I'll move to Cairo, compete for the high school I will found (Geringer Institute of Lower Learning), and use those four new years of eligibility to dominate computational math.
