This tournament is now platinum-certified, meaning that the top 25% of the field will qualify for 2012 NSC.
With the tournament only about two weeks away, please register if you haven't already (and plan on coming). We still have plenty of rooms!

Fantastic! We'd love to have you all here.

To other teams that are interested in attending, there's still about a week left to sign up for this tournament, so please let me know soon!

Could you all use another moderator for this tournament? I know someone who's available and interested.

GDS will be sending 1-2 teams but won't know that number until after our It's Academic taping tomorrow. Sorry we couldn't register earlier.

Blacksburg would like to officially register one team for competition. We are more than 200 miles away, and we will bring a buzzer system. I will also email you shortly.

Blacksburg actually got its hands on another buzzer system, so we will be bringing two systems.

That's good news because NHBB doesn't seem to be planning on returning our buzzer in the next few days, so GDS will only be bringing one set.

A couple things before tomorrow:

We will not be serving breakfast tomorrow morning. Also, VCU is having its graduation tomorrow, so there may be some traffic delays when trying to get here. It starts at 10 though, so I think the impact should be minimal.

Congratulations to Cave Spring for defeating Georgetown Day School 300-280 in the finals of the Governor's School Spring Tournament.

Christiansburg had to leave early and forfeited all of their playoffs matches. They were replaced by a scab team for the remainder of the tournament.

They won without their second best player, so needless to say Christiansburg and Cave Spring are a lot better than many people realize. Good tournament run by Maggie Walker though, we had a lot of fun and things seemed to run pretty smoothly.
