You are cordially invited to the annual 2019 Ohio State HS/MS State Championship @ Olentangy Berlin HS in Delaware, Ohio on Saturday, April 13th, 2019. The initial field cap will be 36 HS teams and 18 MS teams, but I will try to open that up if there is interest and I can secure enough competent readers. We are hosting the HS Open tournament for the first time. The sets we will be using are SCT-19DII (HS) and MS-30 (MS).

PACE: Congratulations! PACE (the Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence) has designated your tournament, 2019 NAQT Ohio State Championship, as a platinum NSC qualifier. This means that the top 25% of teams in your tournament (rounded up to the nearest integer) will qualify for our national high school quizbowl championship, the PACE NSC on the weekend of June 8-9 at the Hyatt Regency Reston outside of Washington, D.C..

HS Teams will be broken into preliminary brackets of 6 teams each and will play a round robin. At the conclusion of morning play, teams will be re-bracketed into brackets of 6 to play another match with similar teams, with the top 2 teams at the conclusion of afternoon play for the tournament championship if needed. Every team will be guaranteed 10 rounds. There will be multiple HSNCT/SSNCT bids awarded.

MS Teams will be broken into preliminary brackets of 6 teams each and will play a round robin. At the conclusion of morning play, teams will be re-bracketed into brackets of 4 to play another match with similar teams, with the top 2 teams at the conclusion of afternoon play for the tournament championship if needed. Every team will be guaranteed 8 rounds. There will be at least one MSNCT bid awarded.

Eligibility: It's the state championship! All Ohio high schools are eligible. Rosters cannot exceed 6 players.
