Philadelphia City Championship 2020

Post by shanhogan »

Carver E&S is hosting the annual Philadelphia City Championship Tournament. All high schools and middle schools residing in Philadelphia county are invited and new teams are encouraged to attend! The only restriction is that schools must be within Philadelphia county. We generally end up with a pretty healthy mix of novice and experienced players. The set is high-school level, but it is still accessibly to middle school students as a good learning experience.

Tournament Details:
Date: Saturday 3/07/2020
Location: G.W. Carver H.S. of Engineering and Science (1600 West Norris Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19121)
Time: Registration will be from 8:00-8:30am. Tournament meeting will take place at 8:30 with rounds following immediately afterwards. The official schedule will depend on the number of teams that register. That said, lunch will likely take place after 4-5 rounds (likely around 11:30) and the tournament should wrap up by 5:00pm (hopefully sooner.)

SET: NAQT IS-193A

Tournament Fees
$70 for each initial team from a school, $60 for each additional team from a school
-$5 per working lockout buzzer system brought
-$10 per experienced moderator brought
$50 per school minimum
***NOTE: If your school is a public school in Philadelphia, please contact me for information on SDP fee support***
