I’m proud to announce the Online Formatted Michigan Charity Event and More Extracurricular Novelties (OF MICE and MEN)! This will be a tournament run on November 28th. This tournament will be tournament directed by myself and Jordan Davidsen. It will also be assistant tournament directed by Jacob Hardin-Bernhardt and Jeff Xie.

This tournament will be run using tossups and bonuses from the set MCMT. This is a high school regular difficulty set and more information about it can be found here.

This tournament will be run online using the platform of Discord. It will start at 9 AM Eastern. Each team will be guaranteed 10 rounds. Cameras will be required for all competitors.

Teams can register by putting themselves down on this Google Sheet. The field cap will tentatively be 20 teams, but this may expand if there are waitlisted teams and enough staff. A list of the field can be found in the registration sheet.

Registering for this tournament will cost $60 per team. You may get a staff discount of $25 per staff. Please Venmo @Aalok-Bhattacharya to pay. All profits from this tournament will be donated to Matt’s Buzzers, an organization that provides grants for schools to buy buzzer systems.
Staffing:
If you would like to staff, please mark yourself down on the registration Google Sheet. Please review the ACF rules linked below before the tournament if you want to staff. Staff will get a stipend or discount for a team of $25 for staffing.
Rules:
We will use ACF rules. Competitors will have 5 seconds after buzzing to give an answer and 7 seconds to answer a bonus after the question is read to completion.
Misconduct and Cheating:
All players, spectators, and coaches must adhere to the PACE Code of Conduct, linked here . Players, spectators, and coaches should report misconduct either directly to staff or via the misconduct form found here. We take misconduct very seriously and will deal with all instances of misconduct.
Cheating will not be tolerated at this event. If sufficient evidence of cheating is found at this event, the player will be kicked out from this event. We also reserve the right to tell local and national quizzing organizations about a player cheating if they are found to have cheated.
