DART Mainsite Mirror January 16th, 2021

Post by dl2025 »

We am pleased to announce that DCDS head coach Dr. Brad McNellen and team members Daniel Liu (myself), Adam Sun, and Zaid Siddiqui will be directing the mainsite mirror of DART on Saturday, January 16th.

More info on the set: viewtopic.php?f=109&t=24131

Eligibility
This is a closed high school tournament. It is open to all high school (and middle school) teams from Michigan. As a general rule, non-Michigan teams will not be allowed to play and should not expect to – there may be exceptions made if the field is not yet filled by Saturday, January 9th, 2021.

Schedule and Format
The tournament will be run on Discord (most likely). All players will be expected to use video during the tournament unless they have specifically requested, and received, an exception from me. It will start at 9AM Eastern.

Conduct
We are committed to keeping quizbowl a safe place for all participants. Misconduct, cheating, and other forms of misbehavior are not tolerated and we reserve the right to remove players if they commit such acts. Players will be expected to abide by the PACE Code of Conduct and can avail themselves of the quizbowl misconduct form, in addition to reporting misconduct to me or other tournament officials.

We will also note that playing without a camera and exhibiting behaviors suggestive of cheating will place you under extreme suspicion.

Fees
The entry fee for this tournament will be $65 per team. Payment will only be accepted in the form of checks made payable to “DCDS Quiz Bowl” with address 22305 W 13 Mile Rd, Beverly Hills, MI, 48025.

Registration
In order to register for this tournament, fill out this form. You can change your submission if things (such as the number of teams you are bringing) change; please do this instead of filling out another submission.

The initial field cap will be 24; this field cap will hopefully be expanded (possibly significantly) depending on the availability of staff.
