KFC 2: Electric Boogaloo

Post by Leo Fein »

Hey everyone, we are excited to announce the launch of our newest competition, KFC 2: Electric Boogaloo, which will take place on Saturday, July 17th through Discord. This team-based academic competition will focus mainly on history and geography, but will also include other subjects. We are accepting teams from all over the country, and rising college freshmen (class of 2021) are welcome to compete. Players from different schools are allowed to play on the same team. The question difficulty will be slightly above nationals level, with the approximate question distribution being as follows:

18% American History
18% Geography
18% World History
15% European History
10% Latin American History
7% Ancient History
3.5% Art History
3.5% Science
3.5% Religion/Mythology
3.5% Pop Culture

The tournament will consist of 5 preliminary rounds, and then at least two rounds of playoffs (depending on field size). The entry fee is $35 per team, which can be paid either through a mail check or through Venmo. Obviously, any form of cheating is unacceptable and will result in disqualification, and we reserve the right to let other quizzing organizations know of cheating as well. To prevent cheating, competitors must have their camera on and show both hands as well as their computer screen during matches.

To register, please fill out the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... sp=sf_link

If you have any questions, please feel free to email either [email protected] or [email protected].
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we hope to see you on July 17th!

Something that we forgot to mention by the way:

By "slightly above nationals level", we mean National History Bee & Bowl (NHBB) nationals, whose difficulty differs from other nationals like HSNCT and PACE NSC. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused
