Triton Fall X "@" UCSD [11-27-2021]

Post by the [email protected] »

The UCSD Quizbowl team is excited to announce that we will host Triton Fall X online on Saturday, November 27, 2021!

This will be a high school tournament with a single division using the CALISTO 2 set. This tournament will be TD-ed between me (InSoo Kim) and Alistair.

The tournament is only open to Southern California high school teams. "Southern California schools" are those which are physically located or (if an online school) based in the ten southernmost California counties. "High schools" are defined according to NAQT eligibility rules. You can check statistics for eligibility purposes here.

Teams of more than six players will not be accepted.

New schools (schools that did not play a tournament in the 2020-2021 season) will pay a flat fee of $30 per team.
Returning schools will pay a base fee of $60 per team, with potential discounts.
There is a minimum fee of $30, after discounts, for each new or returning team.

-$10 per provided staff member properly equipped and capable of moderating and/or scorekeeping online.
-$10 per team that registers on or before November 1.

How to Register:
More logistics information will be provided closer to the date of the tournament to teams that have registered. To register (or if you have any questions), email us at [email protected] with:
1. How many teams you expect to bring (include a request for waitlisted teams)
2. Tentative rosters, if available
3. A contact email and phone number
4. Additional discounts
5. Final expected cost
Please include the name of the tournament as well as your school in the subject of your email ("<your school>'s registration for Triton Fall")
Registration Limits:
We will implement a soft field cap of 20 teams until we can confirm staffers, with soft caps of 10 teams for Varsity and 10 teams for Junior Varsity. Returning schools will be limited to registering three teams each. Any additional teams they would like to register will be placed onto a waitlist. If reserved spots are not filled one week prior to the tournament or we can expand the field cap, teams on the waitlist will be let off.
