This tournament was postponed from its initial tentative date of February 19. April 30 is the final date.

I am pleased to announce that I will be directing WINTER (Winter Individual National Tournament of Education Recall), a high school tournament for individuals from any region. The tournament will take place online over Zoom and buzzin.live on Saturday, April 30, 2022

Questions
WINTER will be run using MRNA, a “college regular” difficulty set similar to 2020 LIT and 2019 Terrapin.

Format
All individuals will play in small groups for prelims. After prelims, the field will be split in three. The middle and lower brackets will play playoff matches in small groups, and the upper bracket will play “1v1” matches. All matches will be tossup-only. All individuals will play a similar number of games, and we will use as many of the packets in the set as is reasonable.

Cheating
Players will be required to have both of their hands and their screen in view of a camera. This may be easily accomplished with a second camera angle, or by buzzing on a phone or tablet.

Fees and Registration
$60 per individual. Players must pay before the day of the tournament. Players may register here.

Staffers will be paid $40 for staffing the whole day. Staffers may register here.
