Signups for the National High School Science Tournament are now open!

Signups for the National High School Science Tournament (NHSST) are now open at https://portal--asta-tournaments.netlify.app/!

NHSST is a student-run quizbowl-style science competition between teams of all skill levels from across the country! Teams of all skill levels are welcome, and the tournament has been formatted in a way that allows both advanced and novice teams to play as many fun and competitive games as possible. We've already raised over $1000 in prizes and there is absolutely no entry fee 😃. As of right now, we will be capping the field at 24 teams (each of which must have 3-6 players, 4 of which will play at a time) on a first-come-first-serve basis, but if there is enough interest we will expand the field to accommodate more teams 🙂.

There will be questions on all science and math subjects, from astronomy to biology to computer science to calculus, and all students that were in or are going into high school are welcome!! The competition will take place on August 8 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM PST. If you would like to learn more, check out our website: https://asta-tournaments.netlify.app/.

If too many teams register, we may provide preference for teams who provide a moderator. If you would like to provide a moderator, please have them fill out the form below. All moderators will receive volunteer hours for helping out, and we would really appreciate the help. Your volunteering will give a lot of students a chance to have fun answering science questions in a fast-paced competition, so I hope you all choose to help us out or participate in the event. If you would like to help moderate, please fill out this form by Wednesday, July 21 at 11:59 PST: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... w/viewform

If you are interested in running a mirror of our competition, please contact us at [email protected].
