2020 NEAT Call for Writers

Post by High Dependency Unit »

Hi everyone, I’m very happy to announce the NorthEast Academic Tournament (NEAT), a fall 2020 high-quality high school regular-difficulty set that we hope will be written primarily by high-school-age writers from the northeast U.S. Writers should expect to receive detailed feedback on all submitted questions, regardless of their level of experience.

Interested writers should email boreckimichael3 AT gmail.com with their name, the name of the school they attend, information on any past writing experience, the subjects they plan on writing, and a sample of 2 tossups and 2 bonuses (in the interest of keeping them eligible for the set, don’t show them to other people!). There is no firm deadline for doing so, but we will attempt to have a writing team in place by January 6, 2020.

Our editors are Wonyoung Jang, Caroline Mao, Doug Simons, Julia Tong, Max Shatan, Michael Borecki, and Vishwa Shanmugam.

An announcement with set information, including subject editing assignments, and details on mirroring will be made once a writing team is finalized.

Yes, sorry we're all very busy and now is an even worse time, but we have an editing team and I hope to have everything set in the next week.
