Studying Science

Post by lifchrs »

Hey everybody.

First time posting!
So I've been wanting to study science for quite a lot of time, but I don't really know how I should start. Are there any tips that you guys can give, other than suggesting I take AP classes? This is for my highschool NAQT competitions

I mean I myself have only been to 1 HS tournament but my recommendation for getting science is 1) reading textbooks/packets to understand the high school science canon a little better and 2) if your parents are scientifically based, they likely have access to newsletters/journals which can have a treasure trove of information for the enterprising science player (like me). As for more general/specific advice, here are two excellent articles to help you improve:

Eric Mukherjee Article in "Best of the Best: " https://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic ... 30&t=18740
The QBWiki Article: https://www.qbwiki.com/wiki/How_to_beco ... nce_player

Hope this helps
