I'm writing a 20/20 packet on two mystery trash themes. I will award the winner two prizes worth between $20-30 (in total). I will read it when I finish it, which will probably be a long time from now.

I read my very difficult history packet (see viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16557#p299602) after ICT, and these were the results:

Jeff H 80
Jordan B 40
Dan P 25
Isaac K 20
Eric M 10
Jason 10
Matt J 10
Naveed 10

Thanks to Ophir for keeping score and to everyone for listening. If you missed out and you want to hear this packet, please let me know via PM. I'll probably read it on the IRC sometime in April.

in honor of nhbb completion i am writing a trash music packet (with a theme) that will be read tonight around 9 CST.

Auroni and Eric Douglass tied to win the first reading of this; a second reading was basically a duel between Will Nediger and Morgan Venkus, with the former wining in a close contest.

I've written a characteristically silly packet of literature questions, which I'll read tonight at 10:00 Eastern.

Would there be any interest in a wacky philosophy packet, along the lines of what I wrote for CAHOOTS earlier but 1) wackier and 2) not all 20th century? I'm just asking ahead since those questions took an anomalously long time to write.

I am writing a packet for the MN contingent to read on the way to Nats. I can read it in the IRC at some point, probs Thursday night.

Shan Kothari won my packet, despite arriving halfway through, and John Lawrence came in a close second. The "Upload attachment" thing seems not to be working, so I guess those of you who weren't there won't get to enjoy my questions.

If there are enough interested people who haven't played it and I remember that I said I would read it, I will use the channel #mikecheyneisafiend at roughly 9 Central (not quite 4 hours from now) to read the packet I wrote (and already read to a number of people) last week for the drive to ACF Nationals. There is a bit of a theme.

What quizbowlers have thought about this packet so far:
  • Trevor Davis has not heard this packet, but if he had, he would already have forgotten it.

Evan Adams said, "I think that will be a cult classic packet."

Chicago B did not seem to approve of the theme.

MIT B was not especially interested in listening to the packet because they had more pressing things to do, like look at their phones.

Matt Bollinger did not like it one bit, especially when I negged him for being wrong.

I'll be reading a packet of Myth, Philo, and Social Science questions on IRC at 7:00 PST tomorrow, Saturday May 2nd. Difficulty will be slightly lower than ACF regs with some variation, and there's a pretty heavy skew towards modern phil. Slightly less greco-roman than standard.

Distro is 8/8 myth 7/7 phil 5/5 ss.

I am looking for somebody (or a group of people) to write three high-quality music tossups. This is for a theme packet that will be first played at a private party in late May...but will subsequently be made available to the IRC (and will probably be playtested there too). I need these within two weeks. I have specific answerlines in mind but otherwise you are flexible to write them as you wish.

EDIT: this is classical music, not popular music

Out of boredom waiting for this happen, I wrote my own 20/20 packet on Legend of Zelda. I'll read it at NSC informally (slap-bowl, probably) if anyone is interested, though I can also read it on IRC if people prefer that.

I never got to read this at NSC, so I'll read it this Wednesday evening at 7 pm in #quizbowlzelda on slashnet. It's apparently pretty difficult, but hopefully that doesn't deter anyone.

Edit: Whoops, my mistake. I have no idea why I misremembered that. Sorry.

I've been intermittently working on a poetry packet (≥ ACF Nationals difficulty) and will read it Monday evening at 6 PM PST with however many questions I end up with by then (I'm at 22 now, so probably around 30). There's no theme or gimmick or anything, just straight up standard poetry questions.

I'm posting on behalf of local SoCal cool guy Vincent Doehr, who will be reading a visual architecture packet in the style of Eyes That Do Not See, only all architecture. The packet strongly skews towards modern architecture. There's thirty-five (35) questions and we'll read it on Google Hangouts at 7:15 PM PDT (10:15 PM EDT) so we can enjoy its group screenshare feature. I'll be back tomorrow with a link.
