No Banter Please @ MSNCT Saturday Night (5/11/19)

I’m pleased to organize a last minute mirror of No Banter Please, a trash tournament written by Erik Christensen & co., for Saturday night at MSNCT (5/11/19).

It should be noted that this event is in no way affiliated with or sanctioned by NAQT and has nothing to do with the MSNCT.

I haven’t fully thought through logistics stuff yet, but I’d like to start about 1-1.5 hours after gameplay ends on Saturday, so people have time to grab a quick dinner.

We will need mods, or to ensure an odd number of teams and have teams read on their byes, assuming there’s interest for more than a shootout. The cost will be $10 per player if we do full teams (Erik has offered the set for $7 per player, and I’d like to be able to offer some compensation to anyone willing to mod), or $7 per player if it is a shootout. You can pay me by cash, Venmo, or PayPal.

Additionally, the set has 11 full packets, and 4 packets that have everything except the 4/4 sports written. I don’t see more than 8 full packets being played tomorrow night, so if some people would like to informally play some of the packets tonight (the incomplete ones + maybe one full one?), we could organize that as well. If you play tonight and don’t play tomorrow, you should pay $7.

We're planning on running out for hot dogs and ice cream, and maybe look at the FLW stuff out in Oak Park. I don't know when we'd all get back, but if this is still going when we do, count me in.

If there's enough interest we could shootout some of the "extra" packets tonight; we can figure out a room to use after scrims are over. I'll post here with updates.

Some of the (unfinished) packets will be played tonight at 10:00 PM. We can meet in the lower level conference center area by the scrimmage check in. We can meet and find a room from there.
