It's early, but, man, this is a team i think people need to watch out for, just looking at the numbers they put up last year in their flurry of late-season and national tournaments. By the midseason poll (if we do that), they will be in the top 25 if you're paying attention.

Saajid from Copley studied very hard over the summer, and can beat me and Jarret in IRC matches, so Copley should be a team to look out for.

As for Solon, I really hope they work hard enough to deserve the two votes they got. I wouldn't put them above the three Ohio teams above them though.

I echo what Jasper has said. In addition, keep an eye out for Parkerburg. They're extremely talented. It's a shame they couldn't go to any of the National Championships last season.

I think the screen on Fred's computer is malfunctioning, so it should happen either once he gets a chance to use another computer to do that or his own is fixed.

I see two people voted for Southside with Graham's ballot putting them very high. Who exactly is Southside returning?

Well, Amit, although I don't think he'll be playing this year. Southside also returns Carrie and Akshay from last year's NSC B team, and potentially Lizzie, although I'm unsure of whether she'll play.

Did Amit even play in any tournaments between the HFT where he "didn't conclusively cheat" and the NSC where he did conclusively cheat?

Well, no one gave him the set (though Fake Dallas sure tried) so he couldn't have cheated unless Fake Dallas managed to get it from, like, a mirror or something. It's just as conclusive that he didn't cheat at HFT as it's certain that Ming didn't, really.

EDIT: discount this; apparently he may have been contacting other mirrors?

That wasn't between HFT and PACE.

Also, I was under the impression that Southside lost everyone.

Really, nobody else voted for Cistercian at all? I'm telling you, they're going to be an awesome team by the end of the year.

I guess nobody knew who they were returning. I voted rather early, so I knew basically nothing about them other than that they got into the playoffs at HSNCT. If they put up good numbers and do well against other Texas teams I'll definitely consider them in the future.
