Post by MLaudermith » Wed Nov 23, 2011 6:29 pm

On January 7, Fenton HS in Bensenville will again host an IHSSBCA Turnabout. I wanted to start a thread to post the growing field and to request that anyone interested in staffing please contact me at Laudermith@fenton100.org. I need moderators and anyone who wants to take on the job of doing stats will have my undying gratitude.

The Coaches Association is again this year paying $25 per certified moderator, which I am more than happy to pass on to my staffers. Visit http://www.ihssbca.org for more info on getting certified.

2. Fenton B
3. Chicago Christian
4. Barrington A
5. Barrington B

Still looking for staffers. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested.

I'd like to thank all the teams who came to Fenton for Turnabout today, and especially thank the staffers who definitely made this the smoothest running tournament in Fenton quizbowl history.

I'll post again when full stats are up, but here are the top four teams:
1. Barrington A
2. Fenton A
3. Marian Central Catholic A
4. Maine South A

Major congratulations are due to Mike for a really smooth tournament - a 9:00 start, nine rounds, a 75-minute lunch, and I was home by 3:30. Crazy, I know.

This.
I may need to think about just hiring Dr. Laudermith to run the Barrington Invitational and show ME how to run 9 rounds by 3 PM.

I will third Messrs. Peterson and Price on this; a very well-run tournament.
