Autumnal N. GA Scholastic Tournament (ANGST)

The North Georgia College & State University Academic Team is proud to announce the second annual Autumnal North Georgia Scholastic Tournament (ANGST), to be held Saturday, November 3, 2012, on the North Georgia campus in beautiful Dahlonega, Georgia, located north of Atlanta.

We are using IS-118.

The format will be either a regular RR or a random prelim/matched playoff system wherein all teams will play 5 prelims among random teams and then be re-bracketed into matched divisions for 5 more rounds of playoffs. Rounds will consist of 20 Toss Ups with 30-point bounce-back bonuses. Please limit teams to five players.

The entry fee will be $65 for each team with no limit on teams from a particular school. Checks can be made out to the NGCSU Academic Team and can be delivered the day of the tournament.

There will be a $5 discount for each school that provides a worker, limit two such discounts per school. There will also be a $5 discount for each school that provides a buzzer system, limit to one such discount per team registered. A discount will be considered for distance traveled.

To eliminate any previous problems with scorekeeping, all score will be kept on paper and transferred to a computer for analysis.

Could you add a column (hopefully with relative ease) that calculates the non-bounce back bonus conversion rate over the course of the whole tournament?

It would help me to not have to calculate all of the conversions myself.

You'll note that I also included the conversion rate for non-bounce-backs and for bounce-backs.


Also, please confirm if the following formula is calculating the conversion rate correctly: C=b/(t+p)

where
C=Conversion rate
b=total bonus points for the tournament (or non-bounce-back, in this case)
t=toss-up points earned for the tournament
p=power points earned for the tournament

I suppose my main question is this: should the negs be taken into account for the conversion rate?

No, negs should not be taken into account.

Those look good for the playoffs, could you calculate the combined (both playoff and prelim) non-bounceback bonus conversion. This is calculated the same way, just over the whole day in both prelims and playoffs.

If my math is correct, I have Marist's combined conversion for non bouncebacks at 20.9.
