One note on those stats: the bonus and bounceback numbers are all looped together, giving an overestimate of bonus conversion.

LASA-A and Ladue are 7-1 in the superplayoffs and will play a final in a short time.

The remainder of the top 18 standings and stats will be posted once the last tiebreaker comes in.

Congratulations to Ladue and LASA A for their continued demonstration of Quizbowl excellence. In the meantime, without revealing what was intended to remain concealed, can anyone shed some light on the mysterious "Robert E. Lee" team? I believe it went 15-3 overall and won the 2nd Upper Tier by going undefeated against some pretty talented teams. And, they are all underclassmen on this team. So, can anyone shed some light on this obviously very talented squad?

They are a team from the southern United States, playing this tournament under pseudonyms for various reasons.

I was told they represent REDACTED. As I was not at the tournament, I cannot confirm this.

Perhaps there was a reason they were playing under a pseudonym! --mgmt.

Maybe you should have messaged Mr. Powers with this info or been a person who actually knows this for sure before outing a team playing under a pseudonym on a public website?

Thanks Charlie, and thanks to management for its quick protection of the anonymous players. I assume Jesse was only trying to be courteous, but I am pleased with the redaction since the "Robert E. Lee" players must have had reasons for the use of a pseudonym.

Thanks everyone! Congratulations to Ladue.

My apologies for some of the technical difficulties we had with audio and buzzers in the finals/All-Star game. I hope that otherwise teams had a great time and enjoyed the set.

For those who are curious, a team of Raynor Kuang, Sid Dogra, Collin Parks, and Roger Cain defeated a team of myself, Morgan Venkus, "Carson Davis", and Madhav Kumar in a very entertaining all-star game.

Do any recordings exist aside from that first 3:40 or so of the finals?

Huge thanks to PACE, especially Matt W. for a very well-run tournament, and Eric and everyone else involved with the great question set. Every staffer we experienced was either good or great, very helpful and professional, etc (especially one who we overheard keep his cool while getting totally unjustifiably chewed out by a coach -- not cool coach dude!). Thanks a ton all of you for giving up your weekends to put on this event; I wanted to thank more of you in person but we had to depart rapidly to catch our flight, sorry! Also huge props to LASA and every other team we played for some exciting, intense games -- congrats to all of you (also, damn, teams we played, you had some sick buzzes!) I'm looking forward to getting to play many of you again at NASAT!

Stats are currently posted on the HSQB/DB at http://www.hsquizbowl.org/db/tournaments/1431/

Some issues we are aware of include incorrect bonus stats for the playoff stage, inconsistent accounting of bounceback statistics in the prelims, and the lack of a single "All Games" display. We'll do our best to fix as much of that as we can in the coming days.

Is PACE disturbed by the number of teams that chose to forfeit games to leave this tournament early? If I understand correctly, at least three plaque-winning teams forfeited games, and ultimately placement. (Two of those teams forfeited half-packets at that.)

We adhered to the announced schedule this year. We of course would like all teams to play their placement games and stay for the finals/all-star game/awards, but teams make their own decisions regarding their travel plans according to what's best for them. We are investigating some different scheduling options for next year, although we don't expect the overall end time for placement games to change much. As in the past, we'll be happy to announce a recommended earliest Sunday departure time once the location and format of the 2014 NSC are announced.

Noah, who was the third team? Raleigh Charter informed me and Matt Weiner as we broke for lunch that they would have to depart after lunch and thus forfeit their last two superplayoff games. Those losses left them even in the standings with Ridgewood and Raleigh obviously forfeited the tiebreaker match. The only other forfeiture that was reported to me (statistician for the top tier control room) was IMSA declining to play the tiebreaker match with Cistercian for 11th place.

High Tech had to leave early; I'm not sure if we ended up forfeiting a match though.

I personally apologize for the fact that this was not finished and posted prior to right now, but I have fixed the bounceback discrepancies and posted the entire combined statistics for the tournament, with order of finish, on the HSQB/DB. The W-L records and stats at that link are reflective of all round-robin games from all three stages, plus the one-game final and (wins, losses, and points only) the placement tiebreakers. If you notice any glaring errors, please contact me by email or forum message and I will try to fix it.
