OSPL 2012-2013 EXPERT - Official Sign Up Post for December

This is the sign-up sheet for the fifth round of the Online Skype Practice League (i.e. OSPL) for the 2012-2013 school year. This season is at the Expert level; the next Novice season will begin after New Year's Day. OSPL December will run for _3_ weeks beginning on either Tuesday or Wednesday, December 4-5 . There are four time slots available for matches this season, with all times Eastern: 8 PM Tuesday, 9 PM Tuesday, 8 PM Wednesday, 9 PM Wednesday. If you have scheduling requests, please include that in your sign-up.

If you have not already, please read the OSPL General Announcement post to learn about rules changes, particularly those regarding substitutions and timeliness of playing your scheduled matches.

Teams will be constructed once all players have been confirmed. The winner of this season will not be eligible to play OSPL again until the OSPL Expert Champions League in May. The prize for winning this season, aside from Champions League entry, is one free entry at a regional/state level History Bee run by NHBB (value: $15).

Due to the holiday season, we are compressing the schedule into three weeks of play. The first two matchnights will be on either Tuesday or Wednesday of the first two weeks of the month. The third matchnight will be Tuesday, Dec. 18 with the final, if necessary, on Wednesday, Dec. 19 starting at 8 PM Eastern.

Bumped to announce that registration will be kept open for another week to try to get this season to run. First matches would have to run next Tuesday, with second matches on Wednesday, third matches the following Tuesday, and finals the following Wednesday to work. Thanks!

This season is cancelled due to lack of registrations. Play will resume with the Novice season in January. One more Expert season is scheduled for February.
