Tuscumbia Fall Tournament (Tuscumbia, MO) - November 9, 2013

Hello coaches,

I am pleased to announce that Tuscumbia High School will hosting an academic tournament on Saturday, November 9, 2013 with both high school and middle school divisions. Tentatively, the high school division will be capped at eighteen teams, and the middle school division will be capped at twelve. All students in grades 7 and 8 are eligible to compete in the middle school division; all students in grades 9 through 12 except for those who have competed in either recognized national tournament (NAQT HSNCT or PACE NSC) are eligible for the high school division. The likelihood that either field will be expanded is small because of the size of our facilities; please get your registrations in early to reserve a spot!

Both divisions will be using the SCOP Novice 4 question set written by coaches and former players from Illinois. Please be advised that this is a high school question set, albeit one designed for younger and less experienced players; as such, participants in the middle school division should be advised to expect a more difficult set than they are used to.

All teams in the high school division will be guaranteed at least eight games regardless of performance, and middle school teams will play at least seven.

Because of the lack of fast food options in and around Tuscumbia, we will be operating a concession stand at lunch and circulating snack carts throughout the day.

Fees are as follows:

Base fee: $55
Second and subsequent teams from each school: $50
-$5 per working buzzer system
-$5 per team travel discount (over 100 miles one way)
