LOL Chip Bowl
I got a mailer from Chip saying "We salute Academic Hallmarks for 30 years of excellence in the Knowledge Master Open" and it went downhill from there. I decided to look at their website, just to see what their new KMO-type product was, and it's amazing. QU's version of "pyramidal" is essentially a 30-20-10 bonus, and here is their shining example:

Re: LOL Chip Bowl
There's always been a bit of an unholy alliance between Chip and the Dude in Durango who runs AUKademic AUKmarks. Colorado and Nebraska teams enraptured in the AUK often attended ChipBowl nationals and it seems like Chip didn't try to make inroads in those states.
What's the future of Academic Hallmarks though? Is Dude in Durango finally retiring? I noticed he removed the list of upcoming AUK-ful tournaments from his website recently. Coming on top of KMO going defunct, is this the end of the Great Auk's reign of terrible puns? If it is, the good QB community needs to act swiftly to step in before Chip does.

I was told by a person in contact with AH that they did not plan on stopping any of their other operations. Maybe this has changed, or maybe the calendar is just being revised.cchiego wrote:What's the future of Academic Hallmarks though? Is Dude in Durango finally retiring? If Chip had a motto it would be similar to Einstein's if the facts don't fit the theory change the facts. Chip's version would be if the facts don't fit the question, print it anyway.
