Thanks to everyone who attended. Great competition today, with two yet-to-qualify teams earning bids to the HSNCT. Three divisions, each with 7 teams, played a round-robin. The 6-0 and 5-1 teams cleanly advanced, and the best two of the 4-2 teams filled the rest of the Quarterfinals (with Ransom F missing out):

Quarters:
(1) Ransom A def. (8) American Heritage B [490-45]
(2) American Heritage A def. (7) Ransom B [245-230]
(3) Cypress Bay def. (6) Chaminade Madonna B [250-210]
(4) Ransom C def. (5) Ransom D [215-125]

Semis:
(1) Ransom A def. (4) Ransom C [375-95]
(2) American Heritage A def. (3) Cypress Bay [255-220]

3rd Place:
(3) Cypress Bay def. (4) Ransom C [215-140]

Final
(1) Ransom A def. (2) American Heritage A [300-235]
This marks Ransom Everglades' 8th consecutive state title (Florida/South Florida) -- and 11 of the last 12 state titles.

Of greater significance is the very recent passing of long-time coach from South Fork High School, Mrs. Stella Boland, who lost her battle with cancer this past Saturday, Feb 22. Our thoughts are with her family, her South Fork teams, and numerous Martin County all-star teams over the years. Mrs. Boland loved quiz bowl and took great joy in the accomplishments of her talented students. We will miss her.
