Carleton University from Ottawa, Canada, will be mirroring Maggie Walker's GSAC on March 1st, 2014; past editions of this tournament have been well received not only by those who have played it in Ottawa, but also throughout different North American sites.
This tournament will be great preparation for the provincial tournament later in the month. This tournament will also possibly allow the top team or two to qualify for PACE's National tournament in May 2014.
Fee structure:
$60 dollars for the first team of a school, $50 for each other.
-$5 for each set of buzzers, including buzzbox + working laptop, maximum 2 buzzer discounts.
-$10 for confirming registration before it's February
-$5 for each person such as a coach or a parent that is willing to read/scorekeep (maximum 2)
-$5 for each functional laptop able to read word documents and/or pdfs (maximum 2)
-$40 for out-of-town teams (i.e. those requiring overnight accommodations).
Minimum fee = 10 dollars/team
The fee structure is subject to change, but it will not be drastically different. Expect each team to pay no more than $15 per person.
