Maryland NASAT Team

Post by Gonzagapuma1 »

Who's interested in going? We can host tryouts after our spring tournament on 5/3 if there's enough interest.

Sameen set up a facebook group. I think people were thinking tryouts after the state championships thing, but I think having them on 5/3 would work as well.

I would like to go ahead an endorse 5/3 since we will probably not be playing the state championship thing (assuming that this is the HSAPQ one since I haven't heard anything about NAQT). If 4/6 works better for other people, I can probably still get myself to wherever tryouts are but obviously I would selfishly prefer to not have to go out of my way.

OK, either way works, just let us know which one if you want our help in running it. I'll also throw my hat in the ring to help coach the team.

How many people can attend NASAT? We're bringing 3 people to tryout, really just for the experience of interacting with top quizbowlers.

The maximum is 6, but I don't know if MD will take the max. If I recall correctly, tryouts were not played last year because so few people showed up.

Tryouts last year were cancelled because some could not show up and few expressed interest. I don't think the same will happen this year
